This is the last Bee block for the year. Lori wanted us to do what we loved. Our block could be any design as long as it was 12.5 x 12.5 inch block in the end. To ensure we worked with a color we liked, we each picked a solid from a rainbow of choices. She gave us all the same print fabric to use with our solid. There was a small piece of cooking themed fabric which she wanted use to include since she loves cooking.
I had no idea what block pattern to use since I am still trying different ones and don't have a favorite. At the Guild meeting, I started thumbing through the pile of freebie quilt magazines till I found a block I liked. It was an 8 3/4 inch block so I framed it with the cute novelty prints to get it to the correct size. I fussy cut the cooking utensils for the center of the block.
