I wanted to try the Jelly Roll Race technique for this charity quilt. I took a bundle of Mass Drop fat quarters and cut them into 2-1/2 inches strips and followed the rules for the race. I wanted a crib size quilt so when it was about 52 inches wide I ripped off the extra strips and sewed them to the bottom to extend the width.
I didn't count how many fat quarters I used, but I used one fat quarter and trimmed down the leftover strips to make the border. The finish quilt is 38-1/2 x 51 inches.

This quilt in a combination of Project 48 blocks, NewBee blocks and fill-in-the-spaces block. It measurs 59 x 53 inches. It machine quilted with the walking foot using wavy lines. This technique I learned in Melanie Tuazon's class.
