Improv Pineapple Floor Mat

We were in need of a new floor mat for our computer chair. The current mat was not large enough and the chair rolled off. I wanted to try the pineapple pattern. I used several work shirts whose collars had frayed for the fabric.

Instead of making blocks of  equal sizes I thought I'd try my hand at an improv modern layout.

The mat is 44" x 44 ". I machine quilted the front and back pieces together and did a machine binding. Conclusion: sewing pineapple blocks is a bit boring.
